wtf. Nylon Korea
Hello all you nice Torontonians out there,
Long story short, FedEx is gayer than gay and somehow lost a huge package of rare goodies even with a GPS system in their trucks. Some douche out there also SIGNED it for some odd reason (we still can't fathom why an African-American/Canadian guy would want with a box penned for a Chinese girl), and so now it's lost. It's great if that person who took it could just cough up everything you haven't eaten (assuming the rest hasn't gone in the trash), but we all know that the chances of that is zero.
SO, Torontonians, please be a kind soul and tell a poor girl where to get her grubby hands on a copy of the December issue of Nylon Korea.

Two quick restaurant questions
A friend and I have been regularly hanging out on the weekend, usually a schmoozing and lunch and/or dinner type thing. We both enjoy the Pickle Barrel because it is convenient (moreso for me than for him) and we both can eat there (he's a fried things and milkshakes kind of eater, and I like a more general selection as I have food allergies which sometimes limit me so it's nice to have lots of choices). I would like to branch out a little and try some new places, as the Pickle Barrel is getting a little stale for me. But he seems reluctant to experiment, from a culinary standpoint. Anybody have any suggestions for places which are similar re. this price range, this type of feel, decent general-purpose variety of dishes, and subway-accessible (especially from Main Station or Eglinton Station as starting points)?
On a somewhat related note, he is in love with the fried calamari at Pickle Barrel. I am sure this is not the best one can do in a city like ours for calamari, but am not an expert in such things. So...who has the best calamari in the city, using the Pickle Barrel as the starting point which we must top?

i will entertain you with a concept sketch for a skool assignment - awesome! its a poster about the environment. key concept words: zero waste, future, ecosystem.
the first thing i thought of was a "closed ecosystem" like those people with their fancy fish-plant aquariums. rest easy, this boy will have legs.
at first i was containing the circle inside the 10x20" rectangle we have to work in but it felt kind of constrained.
i want to try to emphasize drawing with this one in the final, maybe something like this or this. i've never done those on a large, complicated scale before. no time like the present?
a few things i have to keep in mind:
- light source (i've already kind of lost my light source here, oops.. must do a quick light-study just to cement things)
- don't panic and start doing things without thinking

Wall drabble
His body had been left behind the wall, but his spirit was everywhere in the apartment.
Once he had a purpose. A friend. But she was gone.
A few people tried to live with him, but he chased them out. They didn’t belong there. Not like his Cordy.
“Hi, Dennis. Long time.”
She was back. So beautiful. Without thinking he hugged her. She hugged back.
“You can see me,” he said. “Feel me. How?”
“Long story.” Cordelia took him by the hand.
“You’ve come back to stay?” he asked with hope.
“No,” she replied. “I’ve come to take you home.”

egg yolk cookies
hello all! first post here ^_^ normally i don't bake at home, only at school, but we had 18 egg yolks from making angel food cake and white cake that i needed to make something with egg yolks
i really wanted to make else but i am a poor college student so luckily i found a recipe that had what i had at home

advice please!
My friend was in a horrible car accident months ago. She's still in the hospital and is very slowly trying to recover. It's not even guaranteed that she will survive this. Many fundraisers are being held to raise money for her hospital bills. I'm trying to stay involved with them raising as much as I can. The reason I'm posting this here is because in a couple weeks there will be a very large bake sale where all the proceeds will go towards her. I've never been involved in bake sales before so I was wondering what you guys think would be good sellers there. I'd like to keep the recipes as basic as possible but still want them to stand out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm fairly certain that over half of the buyers will be of the "elderly" crowd.
